The PVAMC Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 29,000 visits a year, active STEMI/stroke programs, and an academic affiliation with Oregon Health & Science University Emergency Medicine Residency program. Shifts are 8-10 hours, with NP/PA coverage during peak hours. The Portland Metropolitan Area offers skiing, hiking, windsurfing, Pacific Ocean and award-winning micro-breweries all within 70 miles.
